Autumn Twilight

The Fall is my favorite season, for one, because my birthday is in it. But it also has Halloween, my favorite holiday, but its not my favorite holiday cause of the candy, for me, that's just a bonus. I love scaring people, and the dark, and the creepiness. Cause I'm cool like that.
And the ditches fill up with brown, yellow, orange, and red leaves like a flood, and when you jump in them, it goes crunch. Honestly, it just looks pretty,
Though, by the time the trees are bare of leaves and sickly, its not quite as pretty, but you get my point.

I went on a couple mile hiking trail the other day, made of really soft sand that felt good even through your shoes. Hope dragged me off to it, but it really shows you the nature of Fall, atleast until the trees die, and stuff..
I brought my camera along, and I'm not a professional photographer or anything, and I don't intend to be, but I like snapping pictures of things. We saw a cute wittle rabbit somewhere along the way.
Plus Joe found a tire hubcap from what must've been a crazy-huge truck and a reflector of the bike. Plus there was this old water pump that must've been abandoned a long time ago, cause it was rusty and surrounded by a fence. And the part that went off over the lake was taped off with "POLICE LINE, DO NOT CROSS." and it was either a crime scene (Which I dearly wanted to see.) or the boardwalk was rotted through. Who knows.

I still took a picture of it.

Tweeter Parade

Just keep in mind this post is solely inspired by a cute wittle bird I saw outside an A&W Root Beer/KFC Chicken..

Well, let's see, have you ever seen those cute little birds that seem to prefer hopping around on the ground, ofcourse they can fly, but they sure do like the ground. Not the crows and other things you see flapping around in supermarket parking lots.
They're sorta like over-sized hummingbird, though they look like normal-sort birds, just smaller-ish.. The whole point is, you would definetely recognize them if you'd seen em twice.

I call them Mr. Tweeters.

Yeah, I know, but I thought I should mention them because of the previously stated reason.
The saga of Mr. Tweeters began when I was eleven, when one started hopping around at my bus stop. It wasn't a big deal, but he must've been around people or something, cause he just sorta hopped around and fluttered in low branches till the bus came.

The next significant was a couple years after that, when me and some of my friends in the neighborhood sorta nursed one back to health that we'd found wobbling around down the street. And that went well, and this is really the point where he earned the name "Mr. Tweeters." Since we had him for a few weeks, why not name him? And/or the whole species.
Then, just before college started, I was walking around the house and there was this frisky-looking Mr. Tweeters hopping around near the deck, I went near him and he was all like "I'll chirp up your ass, punk!" and I got a few friends and we just stared at it. My Mom called the animal people, not like it had rabies or anything (Birds get rabies?) but she just wanted to make sure it was okay, since it didn't have a nest.
And the thing's mother basically attacked my head and smacked a wing on my forehead, which scared the hell out of me, and the animal people just sort of helped us move it back up to its nest and stuff.

And just this past Summer on a visit to my parent's house, they had a little Tweeter nest in-between chairs they needed to get rid of, but they didn't want to hurt the wittle birds. Eventually they moved out, and its probably still sitting there under the deck overhang.. But no birdies..

And that's the tale of Mr. Tweeters..
